ABOUT
Jacob Benton was born and raised in Maryland. Jacob grew up going to the movie theatre with his dad every weekend, leading to a lifelong passion for filmmaking. He spent his childhood making backyard movies with his friends and editing film trailers and reviews of his favorite movies.
At 15, he was accepted into the Performing and Visual Arts program (PVA) at Annapolis High School to specialize in Film & New Media. The program provided him with four years of rigorous hands-on learning that resulted in the award-winning short From the Outside In.
Today, Jacob specializes in post-production. His style is fast-paced, electric, and adrenaline-filled. He credits Edgar Wright, Tom Cross, Thelma Schoonmaker, and Gaspar Noé as inspirations.
